i am an aspiring photographer and for the past 9 years I have been taking a lot of pictures, mostly during my travels through the world. In this photoblog you will find some of those images. You might be wondering why my photoblog is called "random clicks"...

its simple. i do not have a particular style or a particular type of subject that i shoot. i consider them a collection of random clicks and hence the name. i have gone through phases when i preferred to shoot just landscape and architecture or just birds but almost all the time i have ended up with a mish-mash of pictures.

i have also used photoshop from day one and have slowly improved my skills over the years through trial & error and tutorials on the web. hence almost all of my photos are post-processed which adds to the random-ness of the collection.

about me

at the moment i live in new york city with my wife julia, who is my biggest fan and inspiration. originally from south india, i consider bangalore my home town.

in 2000 i was down in australia for my friend richard's wedding. he lent me his powershot s10 and i was hooked. a few months later richard and i met up in italy and i decided to take the plunge and buy my first camera - a canon s100. since then i have travelled the world and lived in several countries, taking pictures wherever i went.

my first photographic influence was my dad who during his travels through europe in the early 70s took some great pictures with his 'canonet'. He chose to develop his pictures as slides rather than as photos and that made it memorable as there were quite a few nights spent in our living room going through slide shows.

i always liked my dad's pictures. he had a great eye and you felt like you were with him on his travels. I'm aspiring to do the same with my pictures as well!
